It is said that in 1562, Columbus brought oranges with him to farm upon arrival on his second voyage to the Americas.
Credit is given to a priest in Chapala, Jalisco for cultivating these oranges in Mexico, as it fostered an ideal climate which created beautiful blossoms of orange trees. Many say that Chapala had so many orange trees, “the entire town looked like an orchard”
To pay hornage to Jalisco’s history of agave and oranges, we created the perfect combination with our Jalisco 1562 Orange Liqueur.
